1.Ginseng

Well-known as an aphrodisiac in traditional Chinese medicine for several years, scientific research has shown that ginsenosides, the compound in this popular herb, may help improve sexual performance and improve male fertility. More research at molecular level is still needed though.

 

 

2. Fenugreek

Fenugreek seeds, traditionally used in Indian cuisine, is known for its aphrodisiac properties in Ayurveda. It contains phytoestrogen that is known to increase estrogen and testosterone. It is also known to increase the bust size in women as well as sexual drive.

 

3. Saffron

Since the Cleopatra era, saffron has been used widely for its aphrodisiac properties, and now scientific research seems to back the same. Saffron supplementation may help improve sexual function in men and women who are on certain antidepressants, besides improving sperm motility in men suffering from infertility.

 

 

4. Oysters

A scientific study conducted by a team of Italian and American researchers published in the Telegraph, UK, suggests that raw oysters may increase the level of sex hormones in the body. Additionally, the zinc in it is important for a healthy sperm count.

5. Chilli peppers

Chilli peppers contain capsaicin which, besides adding zest to a dish, releases of endorphins, boosts testosterone and improves libido.
